Title
"Back to the Future" Time Machine
Subject
The DeLorean featured in the movie "Back to the Future"
Description
Above is the time machine used in "Back to the Future", a retrofitted DeLorean DMC-12. Early on, the DMC-12 was marketed as an inexpensive sports car, unfortunately for DeLorean however, the number of presales for the car gave them the idea to hike their original 12k pricepoint up to almost double(Far beyond what the car is actually worth). Funnily enough, the inclusion of the DeLorean into "Back to the Future" is one of the primary reasons the car is still in popular culture today. While received as merely unremarkable in its time, it has been remembered by many car enthusiasts as cheaply made and much slower than their high-performance sports counterparts. Of course, the base model of the car wasn't fitted with Doc Brown's Flux Capacitor and other fictitious sci-fi inventions and could only reach speeds of around 60 mph after 10 seconds.
