This terrible Steve Miner(known for bad sequels to iconic horror films) flick is a "light-hearted" romantic comedy in which actor C Thomas Howell dawns blackface to attend Harvard. The main joke of the movie seems to be centered around affirmative action and yet the concept alone is still racist enough to overshadow the jabs within. This is included to remind those on our website that in the 1980s, a movie such as Soul Man can be released and earn a whopping 35 Million dollars at the box office.
